We did it with the Lumber River and we can do it for our Park.
* The Chamber would like to congratulate the Lumberton American LYBA All-Stars winning the North Carolina Dixie Youth Majors State Tournament on Friday July 16, 2010. As State champions, Lumberton will represent North Carolina in the Dixie Youth World Series beginning August 6 in Gonzales, Louisiana. The team is made of twelve players and three coaches. It will cost approximately $2000.00 per day for the team to participate in this event. LYBA is asking for any size monetary donation to help offset the expenses for the Lumberton team to participate in the World Series. Expenses will include travel, lodging, and meals for the team during the entire week. LYBA appreciates any size donation to help send our team to the World Series. Community Events:
· August 4th-22nd-CIS of Robeson County STUFF THE BUS campaign. Help provide school tools for the children of Robeson County. Notebook paper, pencils, scissors, composition books, pens, markers, glue and mesh book bags. Money contributions are welcome to help purchase these items. Please mail or drop off to Robeson County CIS 2006 N. Pine Street. Collection boxes will be placed there and at other Robeson County locations or contact CIS of Robeson at 738-1734 for information.
