Branch Named Chamber Chair
Linda Branch owner of Storage Solutions, Inc. and Coldwell Banker Realty was named Chairman of the Lumberton Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Outgoing Chairman Scott McLean owner of Lumberton Bowling Center passed the gavel January 30th at the Chamber’s Chairman’s Gala at Pinecrest Country Club.
At the beginning of the program Chairman McLean called each Chamber Ambassador to the front who contributed to the success of 2014. Those in attendance were Suzanne Abbott-Abbott Insurance Agency, Chelsea Biggs-Biggs Park Mall, Mickey Gregory-Lumberton Visitor’s Bureau, Debbie Branyon-First Bank, Crystal Collins-Lumbee Guaranty Bank, Sara Collins-BB&T, Patricia Fields-Givens Performing Arts UNCP, Sheila Humphrey-Lumbee Guaranty Bank, Rebekah Lowry-Robeson Community College Foundation, Becky Morrow-Robeson County Dept. of Social Services, Connie Russ-City of Lumberton, Angela Sumner-Robeson Community College, Bebe Wright-Comfort Inn/Country Inn & Suites, Owen Thomas-Dial Insurance, Jonathan Rivera-Lumberton Children’s Clinic, Teresa Page-Retired, Bob McKee-Retired, Joseph Martin-Allstate/Danny Martin Agency, Faye Spaulding-Comfort Suites and Maureen Metzger-Southeastern Health.
Chairman McLean then recognized three individuals who are doing great things in our community and awards were presented to each of them: Jeff Neelon-Leadership Award, BreAnna Branch-Volunteer Award and Allison Harrington of Speech Solutions, Inc. Small Business Award.
Mr. McLean then thanked retiring Board members: Chelsea Biggs Sullivan-Biggs Park Mall, Harvey Godwin-Two Hawk Employment Services, Suzanne Abbott-Abbott Insurance Services, LLC, Wendy West Walters-Coastal Speech Center, Pramit Patel-Best Western Lumberton and Danny Cook-Cook Insurance Services.
Chairman Branch then recognized the newly elected Board members. They are Buddy Bodiford-Retired, Debbie Branyon-First Bank, Robert Britt-K.M. Biggs, Inc.
